Item Description
Strong vertical dock pilings contrast with the dynamic interplay of horizontal patterns and the "reflective nature of moving water" in Eric Goldberg's A New Day. An etching/aquatint drawn on site in Noank, Connecticut with Fisher's Island in the distance, the 9"(h) x 12"(w) image was further refined and hand burnished in the artist's studio. It is # 10 in a signed limited edition of 50 and measures 17"(h) x 21"(w) in a light wood frame under glass.
Eric Goldberg studied at Parsons School of Design and the New School for Social Research in NYC, and received his BFA from New York University. He earned an MA from New Mexico University in painting and printmaking, and after a 30 year career combining teaching and painting, Eric recently chose to devote full time to his twin passions. Goldberg's works can be found in public, private and corporate collections, including General Electric, Aetna Life and Casualty and the New Mexico Museum of Fine Arts.
