Item Description
With Boston's city skyline sketched faintly in the background, Boston Harbor Light stands majestically on its rock-solid island, flanked by little 'village' homes. Painted at sunrise and surrounded by the frosty blue waters of the harbor, Sylvia Lauro's romantic and colorful watercolor measures 17" (h) x 21"(w) in a gold wood frame under glass.
Sylvia Lauro is a resident of Plainville and a member of the Attleboro Arts Museum and the Rhode Island Watercolor Society where she enjoys learning by painting in groups. For several years she has studied with Jean Carvill. To quote the artist, "The Boston Harbor Light is a welcome beacon for me especially when flying over the harbor and so I painted it with Boston in the background under a beautiful sky."
