Item Description

Against the iridescent peach patina of evening light, Irma Cerese's buildings glow and call us within. Subtle and explosive interplays of paint and light create a luminous, ethereal atmosphere, as Southward/Evening at once slows our pulse and indulges our senses. A dreamy painting for bed, bath and beyond.

Southward/Evening has been shown in two juried exhibitions and won first prize in oil/acrylic. It has wrap- around painted edges and measures 18"(h) x 18"(w).

IRMA CERESE is a painter of contemporary acrylic landscapes which focus on color relationships. Educated at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, she worked in New York City for many years and then resumed painting in Massachusetts after a fifteen year hiatus. Since that time her award -winning work has been included in numerous juried, invitational, group and solo exhibitions and in private, corporate and institutional collections. She maintains membership in several local art associations, and is currently represented by the Nan Mulford Gallery in Rockland, ME, the Boat Meadow Gallery in Dennis, MA and Chameleon Arts, Newburyport, MA.
