Item Description
Form and function fuse with sheer elegance in Sharon Pollock's celadon white stoneware vase incorporating Italian Moretti glass lampworking. The intricate one-of-a-kind handmade glass beaded cover creates a sculptural "aside" when the vase is used to hold flowers. The piece is approximately 12" (h) x 7"(w) x 7"(d).
Sharon Pollock, an exhibiting artist currently teaching ceramics at RISD, holds an MFA in Ceramics from Boston University/Swain School of Design, a BFA in Ceramics from the U. of Minnesota and a BS in Art Ed from SUNY College at Buffalo. Sharon was one of the founders of Watershed Center for the Ceramics Arts in Edgecomb, ME and was its first on-site director. She exhibits widely and is interested in the rich interplay of color, form and structure.
