Item Description
You don't have to be a dog-lover to dream of this fetching little dachshund, who seems to be on a mission to make you smile. Artist Sarah Hauser "feels a very direct connection with animals" and manages to capture their "emotional transparency" in her spontaneous lines, strokes and smudges.
Jeannie Dreams is a 2003 signed limited edition (5/25) solarplate etching. The piece is framed in blonde wood under plexiglass and measures 16"(h) x 13"(w) (image size: 8" x 6").
Sarah Hauser is a San Francisco native who has lived in New York for the past 25 years. Her works in drawing, printmaking, sum-e painting and sculpture are included in the collections of the Woodward Gallery, Malloy Family Foundation, RM Fine Arts (London), the New York Public Library, the Portland Art Museum and KIWA collection in Japan, among others. She is represented by the Woodward Gallery in New York City and is a keyholder member at the Lower East Side Printshop. She was selected for Who's Who in America, 2004.
