Item Description

As winter sets in, keep your spirits up by bidding on this fantastic rite of Spring. You and your guest can enjoy a fabulous five-course gourmet meal at one of Cincinnati's best kept secrets, the Symphony Hotel, then pop across the street to Music Hall for the May Festival's opening concert on May 19, 2006.

Established in 1873, the May Festival is the oldest continuous choral festival in the Western Hemisphere. Featuring the all volunteer May Festival Chorus and the Cincinnati Symphony Orchestra, the Festival presents marvelously concentrated choral repertoire rarely found in the usual concert season.

The Symphony Hotel was built in 1871 by Peter Ehrgott, a German lithographer. In 1995 it was restored for its current use and in 1997 it won a Restoration Award from the Cincinnati Preservation Association.

The Symphony Hotel's Chef David Buchman is a master at what he calls "light French cuisine". For six years he was a sous chef and roundsman at Cincinnati's Maisonette and graduated from Cincinnati Culinary Institute.

Item Special Note

The certificate for the May Festival will only be honored for the Friday, May 19th performance. It must be redeemed in advance for tickets from the CSO/May Festival ticket office or Music Hall box office. Seating is subject to availability.
The Symphony Hotel certificate does not include gratuity and reservations are required.
