Authors, Abolitionists and the Underground Railroad. Join historian/tour leader Bruce Harris and Thoreau Society Director Jayne Gordon for a three hour walk through Concord's antislavery past: see safe houses, meeting places, and other sites -- famous and mysterious -- associated with dramatic events preceding the Civil War. Following the tour, participants will be treated to wine and cheese at the historic 17th century Thomas Dane House, now a private home. This tour can accommodate up to fifteen participants.
