Travel/Hikes/Walks
Item Description
Up to 10 people can join 30 year veteran reenactor Jim Hayden on an interpretive walk along the "Battle Road" Trail through Minute Man NHP (Concord, Lincoln, Lexington, MA). You will meet at Thoreau Society Headquarters at Merriams Corner and then enter the world of 1775 as Jim assumes the persona of a farmer and militiaman of the period. He will guide you through the landscape of the 18th Century and the important events that took place there on April 19, 1775. This is a leisurely paced "saunter" that will pass though sections of restored landscape, over beautiful wetlands, through some of Henry's "Great Fields", and back through time 230 years.
Item Special Note
You will need good walking shoes, water and a bag lunch. Walk is available at a mutually agreed upon time and date between April and October, 2005. Not available during major holiday weekends. Walk will take 4-5 hours. To be arranged at the mutual convenience of the donor and the bidder.
