Hand colored by J. T. Bowen in Philadelphia. 5.5 in by 7.5 in print on 6.5 in. x 10.5 in. page.Own this beautiful and historic lithograph piece created by the woodsman artist for whom the Audubon Society was named.
Having realized his life's dream with the production of the Havell edition of Birds of America, Audobon could not rest. The desire to make his work more affordable and widely available led him immediately to begin the Royal Octavo editions, for which this piece was created.
