Item Description

Linocut

5" x 4" x 1"

Margo Lemieux has always been an artist. Her career included children's book illustrator, photo stylist, publication designer, university professor, and in 2023, art ambassador, by coordinating an exhibit of Boston Printmakers at the DaNang Fine Arts Museum in Vietnam. She is a member of Full Tilt Print Studio, Dedham, MA. In April 2025, she did a residency at Scuola Internazionale di Grafica Venezia (Venice). In addition, she has had poetry included in a chapbook and a number of anthologies.

During the pandemic, Lemieux attended many online concerts. Her favorite was a singer/songwriter from PA named Rolly Brown. His music was exceptional and the concerts were a gathering place for his music fans as well as fans who greatly admired his skills with dog training. While this is not intended as a portrait, Lemieux's goal was to capture Brown's intensity and passion in his music and to express her admiration for a generous musician.
