Item Description

Acrylic

12.5" x 12.5" x 1"

Celeste Houle has always enjoyed painting with oils and acrylics as well as printmaking. She has shown her pieces at the AAM as well as the RI Watercolor Society. She has taken courses locally as well as at the Phoenix Art School in Scottsdale, AZ.

Printing the impression of fish was started many years ago by fishermen in Japan to keep track of their catch. A process known as Gyotaku was presented as an art workshop at the AAM in the recent past and Houle enjoyed learning the technique and doing it with several fish.
