June Ashley Dean (1926-1987) was a long-time resident of Attleboro, graduating from Attleboro High School, Syracuse University and then living most of her life in Attleboro. She was an active member of the AAM. Dean was involved in many artistic endeavors before finding her true passion in watercolors. She became an award-winning artist and exhibited and sold many of her paintings in galleries throughout MA and RI.
"Trellis in Full Bloom" is a bright, floral watercolor that may remind those who knew June of her sparkling personality. The playful movement of the flowers clearly depicts her joy and excitement in painting. Her skill with the brush and knowledge of the color and structure of flowers is clearly evident in this piece. Seeing the trellis in this piece tells the viewer she painted this outdoors, maybe in her backyard. It's size makes this piece a wonderful showstopper for any home.
Online bidding for this item CLOSES WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 29th, AT 5PM.
