Created with great care and dedication by artist and Lawai volunteer Lori Kizer, this unique piece blends glass, tile, and stone into vibrant color and intricate texture, reflecting the center’s rich cultural heritage. Each detail was shaped over many hours to honor the essence of the original shrine, making it a meaningful addition to any home or garden. Lori has been creating eclectic glass art pieces for over 25 years. Drawn to experiment with different types of glass and techniques from compatible to float, fused, mosaic & upcycling.
Kauai with its amazing emerald valleys, vibrant rainbows, cascading waterfalls and ocean waves drenching the sandy beaches continues to inspire her work. Lori retired from a computer career and moved to Kauai in 2011. Her home studio is in Wailua Homesteads.
