Casa Isla blends Mexican contemporary architecture with a Zen feel for the ultimate luxury retreat. The house is on the tip of Isla Mujeres in Mexico on a cliff overlooking the turquoise waters of the Bay of Cancun.  Think "Mexican Block Island".

The unobstructed ocean views from every room are breathtaking! Signature banyan trees define the generous outdoor spaces and open plan interiors feature huge sliding glass doors to bring the outside in.

From Boston, Jet Blue and Delta have direct flights into Cancun (flight cost not included).  An airport transfer for your group (included) to the ferry which will whisk you on a 20 minute trip to the island of Isla Mujeres (Island of Women).  Upon arrival there are taxis available to take you to Punta Sur (cost is around $6 and takes about 15 minutes). 

The normal mode of transportation on the island is golf cart.  Your hostess will help you make arrangements to rent them if you wish.  There are many restaurants on the island including some within walking distance and many deliver.  There is also a large grocery store on the island with everything from homemade bread, to champagne to fresh fruits and vegetables.  You can make arrangements with the hostess to pre-stock the house before your arrival if you wish.  (Cost for food is absorbed by you; hostess will cover cost of initial delivery) 

There are beaches within walking distance including some with paddleboards, sea kayaks, and snorkeling equipment.  North Beach, the main beach on the island, is regularly ranked one of the top 10 to 20 beaches in the world.  If you choose to go during the summer, you'll be able to swim with the gentle whale sharks as they feed on plankton close to the surface of the water!  

You'll have the entire home to yourself for a week so bring the whole family or split the cost of the stay with five friends or two other couples - the house sleeps six people and has 3.5 bathrooms.
