Item Description

"This gift certificate entitles one person to participate in a program of the Humboldt Bay Rowing Association — new rowing instruction, certification, or participation in one of our various programs."

This certificate is transferable, and is valid until November 1, 2026. $150 value.

ROW THE BAY

Adults take individual sculling lessons at the City of Eureka’s Adorni Recreation Center at the foot of L Street (1011 Waterfront Drive). In sculling, each rower has two oars which allows for individuals to row in single-person boats, providing flexibility and independence.

Beginning sculling lessons teach boat handling skills, safety, and introduces the basics of sculling, accomplished in two 2-hour lessons, usually held on consecutive days. Successful completion of this class, based on approval of the instructor, allows the participant to become a “certified independent” rower. You can then join HBRA and will be given an access code to reserve a boat and to enter the boat house and use the equipment on your own schedule.

If you are under 19 and interested in our Juniors program you should call 707-267-7976.
