Item Description
Artist: Paulina Zuckerman
Paulina Zuckerman is an illustrator and ceramicist from Chatham. She grew up fervently exploring the ocean, salt marshes, and pine & oak forests with her adventurous pugs. Paulina’s work whimsically cherishes animals, wildlife, and environments through a variety of mediums including cut paper, ceramics, gouache, and colored pencil. She is interested in finding the place where fantastical stories and lessons in children's picture books meet ecology and scientific illustration.
She has an MFA in Illustration & Visual Culture from Washington University St. Louis and a BFA in Ceramics from Maine College of Art, Portland.
Paulina's charismatic way of illustrating makes even the wildest creatures into elegant and fun characters. It is a wonderful pleasure to participate in Chatham’s Art in the Park this year.
This shark is sealed with a clear coat varnish. For optimal preservation, indoor use is recommended.
