Item Description
Wow your friends with an insider's tour of the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art guided by Executive Director + Chief Curator David Dadone, followed by a private wine and cheese reception.
BMoCA was founded in 1972 by a group of local artists and has established itself as one of Colorado's premier contemporary art venues. A non-collecting institution, BMoCA presents rotating exhibitions and programs that stimulate active participation in the global and local dialogue about contemporary art.
Dadone came to BMoCA from Museo de las Americas in Denver where, as Deputy Director, he helped develop groundbreaking exhibitions such as Muiz: Remastered. His community leadership includes appointment as a commissioner to the Jefferson County Cultural Council and a grant review panel member for the Nation Endowment for the Arts as well as a founder of Boulder Arts Week. He holds an MBA in Leadership from University of Colorado Denver, attended the Getty Leadership Institute for Museum Leaders at the Claremont University and received degrees in Art Theory/Criticism from Metropolitan State University of Denver and Business/Accounting from the University of Buenos Aires, Argentina.
