Item Description
The Journal of Henry D. Thoreau. Walden Edition. Edited by Bradford Torrey and Francis H. Allen. With a foreword by Henry Seidal Canby. 14 volumes. Houghton Mifflin Company, 1949.
This lovely set is a reprint of the last fourteen volumes of the classic 1906 set of Thoreau's writings. The spines of the books have aged from the original green, seen on the front and back boards. The pages are remarkably clear. The set DOES include the handy index to the journal, in the last volume. A nice addition to any Thoreauvian's library -- especially if they don't already have another edition.
