Item Description

Each pass serves as a free pass to the Guided Tour experience, which includes a guided tour inside the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion (a.k.a. The House of the Seven Gables), as well as access to our Colonial Revival Gardens and the Nathaniel Hawthorne Birthplace.

The Gables' historic campus a National Historic Landmark District and a year-round museum made famous by Nathaniel Hawthorne's novel, The House of the Seven Gables.  

In 1668, merchant and ship-owner John Turner built a house on Salem Harbor that was destined to become one of America’s most beloved historic homes. Designated a National Historic Landmark District in 2007, The House of the Seven Gables is best known today as the setting of world-renowned American author Nathaniel Hawthorne’s 1851 novel.

A 35 – 40 minute guided tour of the Turner-Ingersoll Mansion (The House of the Seven Gables)
A visit to the Nathaniel Hawthorne Birthplace

A stroll through the Colonial Revival seaside gardens

Guided tours are ongoing throughout the day, and are scheduled by demand. The final tour of the day begins at closing. Tickets for our guided tours are not sold in advance and are available at our Admissions Desk. For groups of 10 or more click here.
