Genevieve Hartig Toth
March 14, 1912 - November 4, 1997
Former Mishawaka High School Art Instructor
Geni Toth was an active member of the South Bend/Mishawaka artistic community for over 50 years. An artist and miniaturist, Toth was a charter member of Midland Academy of Art, Northern Indiana Artists, and the St. Joseph Watercolor Society. Toth’s art has been reproduced on note paper and greeting cards by H.G. Caspari, Inc., of New York, and her paintings are hanging in many public and private collections throughout the United States.
She was a member of miniature societies of New Jersey, Florida and Washington, D.C. She received recognition by the grant of a lifetime membership in the Whiskey Painters of America for her ''talent and ability through contributions in the arts.''
A graduate of Ball State University, Geni Toth taught art at Mishawaka High School and Penn High School from 1958 to 1975.
