Item Description
Classic Caladiums in Avon Park, Florida is in the region where 95% of all the caladiums in the world are produced. Bold, colorful, tough, and beautiful, these tropical foliage plants add bright color to the summer landscape. In warm climates, they will return year after year. In colder climates, they are the perfect plant for summer color - in municipal containers, in flower beds, even in hanging baskets.
Bob Hartman of Classic Caladiums has been breeding new varieties that offer interesting new foliar patterns and colors while ensuring that the plants will thrive in normal landscape conditions. The plants arrive as “bulbs” that are easily planted and pop up with color within a couple of weeks in warm weather. Caladiums are plants that can bring dramatic color to your containers, baskets and flower beds in the heat of the summer. And as an added bonus, cut caladium leaves will last no fewer than 2 weeks in a vase.
This package includes 500 #1 caladium bulbs of varieties you will select from Classic Caladium’s online catalog based on availability. You will receive 50 bulbs from 10 varieties. Shipping is included in this package and you will receive the bulbs when it is appropriate for your climate.
The Classic Caladiums website lists the many different caladium varieties and sorts them by color and type and offers helpful information as to how to grow them successfully.
You might want to try some of the fantastic award winning new varieties developed exclusively at Classic Caladiums – or you may want to stick with some of the tried and true older varieties. No matter which ones you select, you will thank your lucky stars you have caladiums in your landscape!
