Item Description
Emory Knoll Farms in Street, Maryland, is a leader in the production of plants for green roofs as well as landscapes that require solutions to water purification and drainage. Owner and founder Ed Snodgrass is a specialist in green roof technology and functional landscape solutions. He consults all over the world with architects and engineers as well as those eager to grow plants for green roofs and functional landscapes. He has written a book with a colleague entitled “Small Green Roofs.”
With this package, you will receive varieties of drought-tolerant plants that will work well in a well-drained soil in a sunny location. Put them on a roof. Plant a bio swale. Put them in the space between stones on a walkway or patio. Or create a meadow for pollinators.
As Ed wants you to be successful, he and his team will select the best varieties for the application you have in mind. You won’t find a collection of plants such as this as Emory Knoll only sells wholesale to contractors. This is an amazing opportunity to have tough plants for your community that have been field tested over many years.
This package will include a case of 3 trays of 72 plugs from the “Mid-Atlantic Mix". That’s 216 individual plants in an assortment of about 15 different varieties, many of them the toughest and best varieties for green roofs, bio swales, rain gardens, meadows, pollinator gardens, etc.
These plants are best suited to locations east of the Mississippi so the bidder must be from this part of the country. Shipping is included in this package.
