Item Description
Celebrated wine columnist Dan Berger is now producing and releasing white wines he “always wished someone was making.” Dubbing his new venture Enological Suicide eGG, he is sourcing from top quality vineyards well known to him and the expert winemakers working with him, such as Greg LaFollette.
Bahl Fratty, the brand name on the wine, means “great wine” in the obscure language of Boontling once spoken by settlers in the Anderson Valley wine region in northern California.
The Bahl Fratty 2023 Vermentino is not on the market until later in 2024 but as a longtime supporter of NorCal Public Media, Dan wanted our auction bidders to be the first to try it.
The wine is from Las Brisas Vineyard in the Carneros region in south Napa.
