Item Description
Framed photograph of Flaco the Eurasian eagle-owl on the grass in Central Park, by Jacqueline Emery.
Print size: 11.5x12.8 inches
After being released by vandals from an enclosure at the Central Park Zoo, Flaco became a beloved New York City celebrity as he learned to hunt in the big city, inspiring many with this unlikely story of urban survival. When this gorgeous bird died after a year of freedom, his loss was mourned throughout the city and across the globe. Jacqueline and her partner David Lei lovingly documented Flaco's journey, and her photos appeared in The New York Times. The pair are currently working on a photography book about Flaco.
