Artist Statement:
Queequeg is a tip of the hat to the classic 1851 novel Moby Dick by Herman Melville. Queequeg the man, Cachalot the white whale, and Marblehead are represented by the time and grit that made each white stone having spent years being molded by the sea little by little.
