Artist Statement:
This cod fish is swimming North in the Atlantic Ocean past Gregg's 5 favorite New England lighthouses one from each state out of 200 from CT, RI, MA, NH, to ME details on back. The Wickies would tend to the lanterns in the 1800's represented in this piece with working flickering tea lights.
Artist Biography:
Gregg Hanscom is an artist, writer, life coach, and HR leader who lives in Orrington, ME, and Marblehead, MA, with his life partner Tonya Taskey Nye. His poetry and this cod are his first-time submissions and his first piece of artwork to ever be sold, and he is happy it will benefit the MFoA.

Item Special Note
Pick-up of purchased cods will be July 13 from 12-3 and July 14 from 3-6 at Sagan Harborside Sotheby's 1 Essex St, Marblehead. The winning bidder will receive a notification email with information including pick-up time and location.
If the winning bidder requires shipping, their credit card will be charged a separate $35 fee to cover USPS ground and handling. Shipping is available within the U.S. only and must be requested within 7 days after receipt of the notification email.
If the winning bidder has not picked up their cod (or provided shipping address) within 30 days after the close of the auction, the cod will become the property of Marblehead Festival of Arts, Inc.
