(Master Printmaker & Contemporary Artist - 1942-2021)
Linda Adato, born in England, studied at Hornsey College of Art and, after immigrating to the US, at UCLA. Her work has been shown throughout the United States and abroad. Among her awards are those from the National Academy of Design, Boston Printmakers, Audubon Artists, and the Center for Contemporary Printmaking.
Her work is in the collections of the Achenbach Foundation for Graphic Arts of the Fine Arts Museums of San Francisco, British Museum, DeCordova Museum, Detroit Institute of Arts, Duxbury Art Complex Museum, Corcoran Gallery of Art, New York Public Library, Mississippi Museum of Art, Portland Art Museum, OR and other institutions. She is represented by The Old Print Shop, NYC, and other galleries.Linda Adato served as president of The Society of American Graphic Artists, a national organization of fine art printmakers, from 2007-2010. She is also a member of The Boston Printmakers, Audubon Artists, and a lifetime member of The Silvermine Guild of Artists in New Canaan, CT.
