Opened in 1999 by brothers John and Dan Goldman, Green River Silver Co. quickly established itself as the premier store in Southern New England to purchase fine sterling silver jewelry.

In the early years, John traveled regularly to Taxco - Mexico, Bali - Indonesia, Jaipur - India and the American Southwest. He met with silver artisans to bring their unique styles of jewelry back to Green River’s customers.

After the success of their first location on Hope Street, in 2002 the brothers opened their second shop in historic Wickford Village, located on the shores of Narragansett Bay.

25 years later the brothers still source handcrafted sterling jewelry from around the world along with designs from local artists.
