Item Description
Have you been curious about the Dipsea but aren't quite ready to commit to the race? Join Liz Gottlieb, parent of two Sun Valley alumni, and Kyndra Kennedy, parent of two current Sun Valley students, for a fun run along the Dipsea trail. We'll meet at the trailhead in Mill Valley and run together, stopping for pictures along the way. Speed will be based on group comfort - no one will be left behind! We'll celebrate our efforts at Stinson Beach with snacks and mimosas, where a large SUV will be waiting for us to shuttle everyone back to the start.
Date: August 11, 2024 at 9 a.m.
More info about the run leaders:
Liz is a longtime runner and has competed in races from one mile to 50k. The Dipsea is her favorite local race, and she has multiple black shirts and won the Winner of the Best Time award for women twice. In addition to teaching a wide range of science courses and coaching cross country at a local high school, Liz is also a certified naturalist and enjoys leading hikes and tours around the Bay Area. Fun fact: Liz is also one of the three twins of local ice cream fame. Join us on the run and ask her all about it.
Kyndra is just along for the ride;) Thanks to Liz’s encouragement and guidance, she recently completed her second marathon and can be found running around Marin several mornings a week.
