Item Description
The winning bidder on this item receives a private library wine tasting for 6 people with Kerry and Daisy Damskey at a private home in wine country. Included will be a charcuterie sampler and cheese pairing with the wines.
Guests will leave with their own library of Palmeri wines.
Palmeri is all about mountain fruit. Most of the vineyards the family designates for Palmeri rest above 1,000 feet, yielding a more balanced growing season. In hotter years the grapes experience a more temperate climate at high elevation, where in colder years the temperature is warmer atop the mountains, offering protection from the frost found on the valley floor. The soils found in the mountains are well draining and extremely low in nutrients which produces grapes that are generally more flavorful, show more complexity and produce more age worthy wines.
A renowned international consulting winemaker who is always experimenting with clones, cooperage and style, Kerry Damskey is never satisfied to do things the same way for long. Daisy Damskey's professional work ranges from holding executive positions throughout the non-profit world to building wine brands. Daisy and Kerry founded Palmeri, creating expressive small lot wines from unique mountain terroirs. Son Drew has a handful of his own consulting clients and was named as a 2017 Winemaker to Watch by the San Francisco Chronicle.
In addition to managing Palmeri, Drew and Kerry enjoy consulting for a select handful of clients in the California North Coast and internationally.
