Item Description
This Queen Anne style Victorian was the birthplace and boyhood home of author John Steinbeck. Built in Salinas in 1897, the Steinbeck family moved into the house in 1900. It was purchased by The Valley Guild in 1973. It is now a charming restaurant serving lunch Tuesday through Saturday. It is located two blocks west of the National Steinbeck Center at 132 Central Avenue in Salinas, and it also features a gift shop, The Best Cellar.
This gift certificate is good for Lunch For Two (soup or salad, entree, dessert, non-alcoholic beverages, and tax) or for Tea for Two (specialty tea, tea sandwiches, fresh fruit, scones, petite quiche, and assorted desserts).
