This work is by Ana Elena Garuz, contemporary Panamanian artist who has been recently published in Phaidon's 'Latin American Artists' From 1785 to NOW. Garuz deconstructs images and materials from her daily environment and investigates their two-dimensional and sculptural properties, combining these elements into paintings or drawings that make varied references to art history, contemporary design, magazines, urban life and intimate memories.
