Item Description
Nove Vineyards is located on a southwest-facing, sun flooded hillside not far from the Konocti Volcano in Lake County. It boasts desirable deep red volcanic and well-drained loamy Sobrante soils. At a lofty elevation of 1,400 feet, this prime mountain site possesses all the key ingredients for growing premium wine grapes with beautifully intense aromas and flavors. The soils possess a rich mineral complexity, which lends freshness and depth to the estate-grown wines.
The wines are crafted from two classic grapes originating in the south of France –Grenache and Malbec.
The winning bidder on this item will receive one case of the 2017 Malbec.
Boasting a deep, saturated, ruby red color with purplish tints, the wine's aromas bursts forth with gorgeous vanilla, blackberry and strawberry scents. Aged 24 months in oak barrels chosen to enhance the vineyard's unique fruit expression, this Malbec's lush, beautifully structured cassis and blackberry flavors – laced with complex notes of leather, tobacco, and oak are framed by balanced tannins, leading to a long, elegant finish.
