Will Healy is a composer and pianist based in New York. Drawing inspiration from the vibrant tapestry of New York's music scene, Healy's pieces reflect his deep connection to collaboration and innovation with artists from many genres. He is the artistic director and founder of ShoutHouse, a collective of hip-hop, jazz, and classical musicians. He is the recipient of the 2023 Leonard Bernstein Award from ASCAP Foundation, a Charles Ives Scholarship from the American Academy of Arts and Letters, and he has written large-scale works for orchestras, choirs, and wind ensembles in concert music, film, and musical theater settings. Healy attended The Juilliard School, where his mentors were Samuel Adler, Steven Stucky, and John Corigliano.
Lesson will be offerred at his studio in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn.
