Item Description
Enjoy these authentic and gigantic mugs! Donated by a generous 1L student, these 36-ounce mugs were originally purchased at the Colonial Williamsburg shops. The website has the following historical information on the style of the mugs:
"An indispensable part of tavern life, stoneware mugs with cobalt blue designs served as vessels for beer and ale in the 18th-century. This design was inspired by a salt-glazed stoneware tankard excavated at the Anthony Hay House site."
Take home this part of history today, and enjoy beverages at home by the mug-full!
