Item Description
Great gift for a young player or Hockey enthusiast!
This is the official Olympic Hockey Puck, autographed by U. S. Team goal tender Boston native Jim Craig. In the 1980 Olympic match with the Russian Team Jim Craig stopped 36 of 39 Russian shots, giving the U. S team a 4-3 victory in a game said to be one of the greatest wins in sports history.
The team and Jim went on to be the inspiration for two movies: “MIRACLE ON ICE 1989 and Disney Studios MIRACLE in 2004.
Jim Craig gave this puck to Chuck Clowdis at an event in Boston in 2008. Chuck said “while this puck is special, I’m pleased to donate it to help the fine work Constituting America is doing”.
Generously donated by our dear friend, Chuck Clowdis.
