Item Description
The carefully curated wine basket comprises two red wines and one white.
All the wines were procured years ago through Washington State vineyard subscription programs (the Figgins family and Charles Smith are two of the most respected names on the West Coast, let alone Washington).
1. Ovide Cabernet Sauvignon - Syrah
This blend has a "spicy, complex nose of ripe blackcurrants, green tobacco, menthol, spice, and new leather gives way to a rich, medium to full-bodied blend with a great mid-palate, loads of sweet fruit, a lush, opulent texture, and a great finish. It has some classic rocks, gaminess, and exotic notes, yet it still leads with its fruit". (Wine score: 95 Points, Jeb Dunnuck, wine critic)
2. Figgins Estate Red Wine (Walla Walla Valley (WA))
A Bordeaux-style red blend, this wine offers "aromas of macerated cherry, coffee, flower, licorice and date lead to cherry, cranberry and raspberry flavors that give a full impression on the palate".. (Ranked 51st Top 100 Cellar Selections of 2021; Wine score: 95 Points, Sean P. Sullivan, contributing editor at Wine Enthusiast)
3. Figgins 2020 Riesling (Walla Walla Valley (WA)
A dry fruit forward wine, this Riesling "brings notes of whole lime, lime zest and white peach. The palate is broad in style, with plentiful peach flavors.(Wine score: 88; Sean P. Sullivan, contributing editor at Wine Enthusiast)
