Nauticus is a maritime-themed science center and museum located on the downtown waterfront in Norfolk, Virginia, also known as the National Maritime Center.

The museum features hands-on exhibits, interactive theaters, aquariam, digital high-definition films, and an extensive variety of educational programs. Nauticus has a high-definition large-screen theater and shows several nautically-related films on a rotating basis.

The second floor of Nauticus houses the Hampton Roads Naval Museum and the entrance to the battleship Wisconsin. On the third floor of Nauticus, guests can view a variety of science and maritime exhibits, including aquaria, a horseshoe crab touch tank, shark lab, Science On a Sphere, NOAA exhibits, interactive theaters, and a weather station. The shark lab of Nauticus is home to four sharks of three different species. There is one male epaulet shark, two male white-spotted bamboo sharks, and one female brown-banded bamboo shark. In the Fall of 2016, there was also a male brown-banded bamboo shark, but it was relocated to a closed tank near the entrance due to aggressiveness.

2-Hour Harbor Tour - This daytime cruise is our most popular for children and families. Lend a hand setting the sails, take a turn at the helm, or simply sit back and enjoy the cruise as the Captain points out the highlights of the Harbor; The Downtown Norfolk and Portsmouth Skylines, Battleship Wisconsin, Private Shipyards, and more. We may also see Navy Ships, Tugboats, Private Yachts, and even occasionally dolphins.

2-Hour Sunset Cruise - The evening cruise is our most popular for adults, couples, groups of friends, and company outings. (Families and children are always welcome!) Both fun and romantic, the sunset cruise is the perfect way to spend an evening. After the captain does a short tour of some of the sights of the Harbor, sit back and enjoy one of our ship's musicians.
