Several consumer organizations, including Stiftung Warentest and the ADAC, tested a number of child car seats for the following criteria:

Who conducts the car seat tests?

Several leading European independent consumer organizations conduct testing of car seats once or twice a year: the German ADAC and Stiftung Warentest, the Austrian ÖAMTC and the Swiss TCS. These tests are among the most important in the industry, evaluating crash test safety ratings for car seats as well as ergonomics, handling and other factors.
