Item Description
Brijeluches are about promoting the transcendence of the Mexican cultural identity through time and space. In a soft and colorful way, a Brijeluche embodies unique characteristics that reflect the stories and values of Mexican culture. These are currently only available for purchase in Mexico.
This BRIJELUCHE was named in honor of Margarito and represents the values of tradition, authenticity, and family. Margarito deeply loves his trade as a baker. He gets up before the sun rises to bake the bread that many families will enjoy that day. His vocation is a family tradition that is passed on from generation to generation. His parents instructed him from an early age. At the age of twelve he was able to bake his own bread. The tradition continues in his own family, where six family members help him every day. Margarito knows how to prepare all kinds of bread, but his favorite is the bolillo (or roll), for its simplicity and versatility. What he enjoys most about his job is the tranquility. His dream is to be the best baker in the region, so he strives to perfect his technique using a wood-fire oven to give a unique texture and flavor to his bread.
