Item Description
Brijeluches are about promoting the transcendence of the Mexican cultural identity through time and space. In a soft and colorful way, a Brijeluche embodies unique characteristics that reflect the stories and values of Mexican culture. These are currently only available for purchase in Mexico.
This BRIJELUCHE was named in honor of Tomasa and represents the values of determination, conviction, charity, and entrepreneurship. Tomasa was an honest woman with an entrepreneurial spirit. She grew up in a small rural community where she only had access to primary education. Although, her determination and dreams took her to Mexico City where she was certified in sewing and tailoring. Upon returning to her hometown, Tomasa established her own sewing shop and created jobs for other women in her community. She designed her own clothing and sold her products in department stores. She is remembered for her acts of service to those around her, her skill in the kitchen, her big heart, and her sweet smile.
