Clare Asch has an MFA from Lesley University and a BFA cum laude from the University of Massachusetts. Clare is a member of Galatea Fine Art in Boston and is scheduled to have a solo show in October 2022. Ms. Asch showed her paintings this August in a virtual exhibition at the Associazione Cultural Sei l'Arte in Venice. She was recently commissioned to do an installation at the Riverfront Office Park through the deCordova Museum Corporate Art Program.
In her paintings, Clare Asch explores the interaction of chance and predetermined structures. Natural phenomena like gravity and its effect on the flow of water fascinate her. She also has a long-standing interest in mark making. This dialogue of chance, gesture and structure is the foundational basis of her art.
