Item Description
This art project consists of two pieces, 2' by 2', black wooden boards. The art piece is created by different color strings that connect from nail to nail, forming a beautiful geometric form. These pieces were inspired by the sun and the moon, utilizing the cold and warm colors that represent each one. Each sixth grader participated in the process of sanding, painting, measuring and dividing the circle in equal parts, hammering the golden nails, and connecting the strings following a numerical pattern. This process took around 8 hours in total; while each child invested her/his heart and soul to make this beautiful art piece as the result of a collective work of our class.
