Item Description
This is Amos Hummel, titled Mellow Yellow. It measures 36"x24"x1" and is enamel on gallery panel. This is a unique painting that belongs with someone who loves fish and the blue water. By looking at it, doesn't it make you want to go sailing in the Caribbean?
A resident of Hilton Head Island for over 40 years, Amos Hummell considers the Lowcountry home.
A self-taught artist, he is known for his brightly-hued palette that reflects the vibrant local culture that inspires him. His work is best described as non-conventional, as he has been known to employ all manner of materials in his work, all in the name of creative expression.
These days, Hummell works from his home studio, where he can be found for hours on end, trying to replicate with paint and brushes the stories that fill his head. www.hummellstudios.com.
This painting will be on display at Memory Matters spring Culinary Showcase at Poseidon on April 1. To purchase tickets, go to www.mymemorymatters.org.
