Item Description
You are invited to learn about the ancient practice of creating beautifully decorated Pysanky eggs which date back to before the arrival of Christianity in eastern Europe. Eggs symbolize the release of the earth from the shackles of winter and the coming of spring with its promise of new hope, new life and prosperity.
I am honoured to include in the silent auction a Private Workshop for two AND this egg which has a yellow star on a blue star in honour of Ukraine. All the supplies will be provided and we will spend a couple hours together after which you will each go home with two beautiful Pysanky eggs of your own creation.
This workshop is suitable for ages 10 and up and is taught by Janet Ritchey, an experienced Pysanky artist, who lives in Granthams Landing.
