Item Description

Tasting for 2 at KENZO ESTATE and 2 Bottles of wines to take home

WINE TASTING EXPERIENCE: SBS Parent and Wine Maker Marc Nanes will host you for a wine tasting at the beautiful Kenzo Estate atop the eastern hills of Napa, in the Atlas Peak appellation. The winning bidder also receives two bottles of wine at the tasting: 2018 rindo Cabernet blend and 2020 asatsuyu Sauvignon Blanc

ABOUT KENZO: Nestled in the hills above the Napa Valley at 1,550 feet, Kenzo Estate encompasses 3,800 acres, five times the size of New York’s Central Park. Only 150 acres of the unspoiled, wild woodlands have been planted to vines. Protected within this preserve are spring-fed reservoirs, vernal pools, streams, and diverse forests of conifer, oak, and manzanita. Wild boar, coyote, mountain lion, deer, turkey, and bobcat linger in the wilderness and are occasionally observed by guests and those attending to the estate. The land is truly a welcome escape from the outside world.

After your tasting with Kenzo's own winemaker, you will take home the following two beautiful bottles of their flagship wine.

KENZO ESTATE 2018 rindo

Bottle size: 750 ml

Number of bottles: One

Varietal:  rindo cepage: Cabernet Sauvignon (53%), Merlot (26%), Malbec (11%), Petit Verdot (8%), Cabernet Franc (2%)

Appellation: Napa Valley

Vineyard Notes:

Meaning purple bell or gentian flower, "rindo" represents the beautiful purple hue of the grape clusters that resemble the shape of many bells hanging in the vineyard. As the flagship red wine in the collection, rindo is the singular expression of the estate's magnificent diverse vineyards, that grow an alluring mosaic of Bordeaux varietals. Each vintage is reflective of its growing season, and each is uniquely tuned and refined by blend. This 2018 composition is soaring and layered with aromatics of cocoa, plum, and vanilla with sensational dark fruit on the palate, and a subtle minerality providing balance - a beautifully approachable wine.

KENZO ESTATE asatsuyu

Bottle Size: 750ml

Number of bottles: ONE

Varietal: Sauvignon Blanc

Appellation: Atlas Peak

Vineyard notes:  The 2020 asatsuyu Flagship Sauvignon Blanc: "Structured and complex, it is sophisticated and substantial" - Wine Enthusiast. A noted favorite of Chef Thomas Keller of The French Laundry and Per Se. Valued at $80.
