Item Description
A late donation to the auction, a stunning authentic vintage Ferragamo signed silk couture scarf with his signature design of gamebirds within a patchwork of flowers. Provenance-The previous owner was well known for her signature collection of Ferragamo animal scarves, and the donation came from the family.
Ferragamo started making these signature animal scarves in 1971. His animal designs featured animals standing within flowers. We believe this is from the last quarter of the 20th century as this design was made from 1971 for about 20 years. Ferragamo silk scarves sell for $410.00 new.
This scarf features a rose colored border with a cream center, and rose, brown, red, cobalt blue, rust and green colors inside. It will be sure to coordinate with any outfit.
The scarf appears to be in very good condition, with just one hard to detect small spot inside a leaf in the upper left hand corner. There are no rips or tears. It has recently been dry cleaned.
Made in Italy by Salvatore Ferragamo. Size-approximately 34.5 inches high by 33.5 inches wide.
This scarf would be a special present for someone who enjoys scarves, to drape around their neck or shoulders, tie on their head or on a hand bag.
