Item Description

An antique framed chromolithograph on paper of a little girl's Christmas party, the original by the artist Maud Humphrey.  It was the art supplement to the New York Recorder on December 22, 1895. 

Maud Humphrey was a commercial illustrator, water colorist, and suffragette from the United States (1868-1940), known for her illustrations of children.  She was one of the finest known artists and illustrators of the period. She married Dr. Belmont Deforest Bogart, and gave birth to the actor Humphrey Bogart.  She frequently used her young son Humphrey as a model.

Framed in an antique carved gilt frame.  Size 14 inches high by 21.5 inches wide.

In very good antique condition.
