Item Description

Original acrylic on gallery wrapped canvas painting of a white calla lily on a brown ground.  Calla lilies are the subject of many legends and symbols throughout history. 

Painted by local artist Thalia Verros, and signed.  Thalia is a multi media artist from Mashpee on Cape Cod, and Chestnut Hill, MA.  She has exhibited her art at The Falmouth Art Center, and has studied at the Museum School, the Falmouth Guild, and the Cotuit Art Center.  She has primarily worked in pastels, and recently changed to acrylics.

Art is Thalia's avocation.  She retired from being the Director of Guidance at Barnstable Middle School, and is now a hospice volunteer in addition to her painting.  

Size 11 inches high by 14 inches wide.

Winning bidder's items can be collected in person at the Cape Wildlife Center, 4011 Route 6A, Barnstable, MA beginning November 23rd from 10 a.m to 3 p.m.  Please call 508 362-0111 before coming so that we can have them ready for you.
