Item Description

From a selection of Pinot Noirs from Joseph Swan Vineyards.

Each wine comes from a different vineyard within Russian River Valley.  All expertly made to exhibit the distinct terroir of each vineyard.

This selection:

Joseph Swan 2016 Saralees
Joseph Swan 2014 Solas

2016 Saralees

Acid-driven and irrepressibly earthy, this vineyard-designate unfurls slowly in the glass to reveal rose petal, cranberry and orange flavors, tangy and taut on the palate. Light and delicate in tannin and oak, it lingers in forest and clove.

2014 Solas

Joseph Swan's influence on the Sonoma County wine scene can not be understated. Having created the Swan clone by first selecting low yielding root stocks, and then pulling out and replanting any high production vines, the Swan clone is now a widely used clone throughout California and beyond. The 2014 Solas vineyard is a steep hillside planting just to the south of their Estate vineyard in the Russian River Valley. This is the newest wine in the stable and offers up a phenomenal value in single-vineyard Russian River Pinot Noir. A blend of Swan and Calera clones, it is a spice box of complexity with gorgeous acidity and length for days.
